“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." — Proverbs 31:30
I was first introduced to the biblical proverb of the “virtuous woman” in church as a little girl. From marriage to motherhood and even business, she seemed to have it all figured out. I admired how she was able to do it all successfully and manage to stay grounded by her faith in God. She was and continues to be the archetype of what a Christian woman should be. Using her as an example, I have created MyVirtue, where I’ll share my take on fashion, beauty, wellness and more using Bible-based principles. I will give you practical applications for becoming the Proverbs 31 in a 21st century world. Maintaining such an upright, pulled-together and graceful image definitely comes with its challenges, especially in today’s society where women are often objectified and their beauty is measured by their outward appearance. In turn, I choose to love and accept myself (flaws and all) as the beautiful woman God created me to be.
In many ways, this blog will document my journey of shaping myself into a more loving, confident and successful person, unleashing the virtuous woman within me. And I encourage you to join me on this path. Feel free to share your feedback, suggestions and personal progress as well.
